Important Notice: Please Read Carefully
This is an important reminder about your W-2/W-2c forms! Please carefully read the following to ensure access to your W-2 forms.
As was previously announced, all active state employees who currently have access to Core-CT (all Eastern employees, includes student workers) will have the ability to view, print and save W-2 forms online.
It is absolutely imperative that employees establish or update passwords in the system if they have never logged into Core-CT before (or not within the last 90 days). It is best if you can take a minute to complete this action now.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have never logged into Core-CT before (or since October 2012), your temporary password should still be the first four characters of your last name (in uppercase) + last four digits of your social security number. Contact your agency’s security liaisons (firstname.lastname@example.org) for questions about this.
Employees who currently are on direct deposit will automatically no longer receive a printed W-2. These employees may opt out of the electronic W-2 process and also receive a printed W-2 by mail (the opt-out process is explained below).
Employees who currently receive printed checks, by default, will receive a printed W-2 in the mail. Those employees have the option to change to the electronic W-2 process and not receive a W-2 in the mail.
All electronic W-2 forms from 2011 through 2014 are now available to view and print at any time. We will notify all employees when the new 2015 W-2 forms are available for viewing and/or printing in early January.
